Although, Poodles are shown and compete within their own variety, they are judged by the same standard of quality. A championship title is awarded when the dog wins a total of 15 points. Within those 15 points two majors (3 to 5 point wins) must be included. Poodles must be shown in regulation trims; puppies 6 months to one year may be shown in a puppy trim. All others may choose from the English Saddle or Continental trim.
