Dear Members and Friends,

This year marks a special milestone as the Poodle Club of Central California, Inc. hosts its 50th Specialty Show. At these 50 events, people have been proud to show the quality of their dogs in both Breed and Obedience competition and to celebrate our wonderful breed.

The club states in its constitution that its objective is "to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Poodles and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection". Overall, our members have focused and worked steadily towards that goal. You will see many of out current and past members' dogs in the pedigrees of some of the top winning Breed dogs and the pedigrees of top Obedience and Agility competitors. One of our members, Dolly Trauner, helped found the CERF organization. And our club, along with a number of our members, was an early and substantial contributor to the Poodle Club of America Foundation.

Sincere appreciation to Sally Vilas, our Show Chairperson, who handled all the organization required for this show. And I, also, personally want to thank each and every one of our members who have worked diligently to make this 50th show a truly special one.
